Dear Ambassador:

Saturday January 2, 2021 was a very sad day for our community as we have learned about the terrorist massacre of the Turkish and Somali workers near Afgoye, Somalia.

On behalf of the people of Afgoye please accept our deepest sympathies and condolences to the tremendous loss of life of both brothers Selami Aydogdu and Erdinc Cenc who lost their lives while serving the people of Somalia. We appreciate their valuable contributions and they will have a special place in our hearts. We pray for them that may Allah reward them with Janatul Firdowsa.

The hatred of those who carried out this senseless attack that took the lives our Turkish and Somali brothers will only deepen the love and respect that our community has for the Turkish people and their leaders. We will remember their names and cherish their contributions forever.

They came from a faraway to do a charitable activity of building a road that would contribute to the development of our community. This road will connect people to schools, hospitals, farms, mosques and many other necessary places and activities. They paid the ultimate price to help their Muslim brothers and sisters.

No one other than family can imagine the tremendous pain this causes. May Allah fill your hearts with patience and make it easy for you and the families as you deal with the grief of this heavy loss.

Please accept our condolences!

Yours Sincerely,
